Despite temporary closures of registration offices, industry players remain optimistic about increased bookings and registrations during this festive period. With an estimated 12,000-19,000 units already sold between January and March, the city expects further traction in housing sales during the Gudi Padwa festivities.
“Gudi Padwa is traditionally a favored time for homebuyers to seal their deals, and we anticipate a rise in both home bookings and registrations,” remarked Ranjit Naiknavare, President of Pune’s Credai chapter. Despite the closure of registration offices, developers are well-prepared to cater to the demand from eager buyers keen on investing in properties during this auspicious period.
While the mindset of younger homebuyers regarding auspicious possession dates has evolved, some still prefer to take possession on significant days like Gudi Padwa. This was evident in the rush witnessed at registration offices on Monday, as individuals rushed to complete their transactions ahead of the festival.
