Empowering the product and growth teams that run the trillion-dollar mobile economy, Segwise is building powerful AI Agents starting with a data observability Agent that supports these teams to jump on business opportunities and customer issues faster.
Segwise, a startup buildling AI Agents for global mobile product and growth teams, has raised $1.6 Mn in pre-seed funding led by Powerhouse Ventures. Other notable funds in the round include Antler India, Blume Ventures, Everywhere Ventures, Saka Ventures, and Untitled Ventures. The round also saw participation from Kunal Shah (Cred) and product leaders from Microsoft, Amazon, SAP, Gojek, Flipkart, PhonePe, Groww, and more.
With a mission to help mobile product and growth teams be 10x more effective, Segwise is building AI Agents that can operate across all the layers of the product growth stack starting with monitoring data for opportunities and issues to eventually running growth experiments. The platform allows for deep integrations across multiple data sources and tools and is fine-tuning AI models tailored for tasks in the mobile product growth universe.
Segwise founders Brijesh Bharadwaj and Shobhit Gupta, who previously worked together at FamPay, bring over 20 years of combined experience in the mobile products industry. Brijesh has previously led product growth at fast-growing mobile products like FamPay and Dunzo and started his product career at mobile Ad-Tech company InMobi. Shobhit brings engineering expertise from his stints at global mobile giants like WhatsApp and Uber.
Brijesh Bharadwaj, Co-Founder of Segwise, said – “Having led mobile product and growth teams for almost a decade, I first-hand saw how the teams struggled to deal with data silos and extremely large data volumes. Over 50% of the data captured is not used for decision-making, leading to wrong or missed insights and loss of both revenue and speed. The existing BI and Analytics tools are not designed to find granular insights quickly and the teams also spend a lot of time setting up and running growth experiments on various tools. With Segwise, we are building robust full-stack AI agents to assist mobile product growth teams that can dramatically improve their effectiveness in such tasks leading to faster revenue growth for companies.”
Shobhit Gupta, Co-Founder of Segwise, added – “We believe that highly specialized AI agents will be built for every industry-function combination. The differentiation in AI products will lie in customizing large AI infrastructure products like Large Language Models (LLMs) and Large Action Models to data, context, actions, and tools in each industry and function’s day-to-day workflow. That is how one can build defensibility in both product experience and go-to-market.”
Commenting on the investment, Kshitij Golwalkar, General Partner at Powerhouse Ventures, said “With the fast-rising global mobile internet economy, product and growth teams have a huge volume and range of data to parse and use meaningfully. Segwise’s AI agents help customers pinpoint which segments to double down on and which segments to avoid using a data-driven approach. Brijesh and Shobhit bring decades of relevant and deep expertise in the mobile product and growth space. We are thrilled to be a part of Segwise’s journey.”
Nitin Sharma, Partner at Antler added – “We are increasingly seeing more founders build solid AI products for the world, from India. We are excited to join Brijesh, Shobhit, and the Segwise team on their journey to making product and growth teams more effective. Within a short time, the team has shown promising progress in working with some of the biggest consumer product companies globally.”
